What are your best/most interesting use cases for AI right now? Some of mine: 1) When I'm having trouble getting started on a column, I'll ask GPT to write it. I never like the result, and thinking through what I don't like kick-starts my own writing process 2) Fact-checking/critiquing columns I've already written 3) Research. Yeah, it's boring, but I use it a lot. Though I never rely on summaries, always read the links and work off them. 4) Finding places to eat by asking it where @tylercowen would eat in a given place. 5) Setting up multi-stop trips by giving it the places I have to go and then asking it to find, say, a drugstore along the way (works better than Google maps for me) 6) Conlanging for my unpublishable science fiction novel 7) Minor home repairs 8) Reading companion: I frequently stop and ask it for word etymologies, historical and biographical background, etc. 9) Suggesting stuff to read based on stuff I already read and liked 10) Brainstorming headlines, which I am terrible at writing. 11) Making absurd pictures to pep up friends who are feeling low, including myself. 12) Answering absurd hypotheticals, like could Lion-o beat He-Man in a fight, or which person at the dinner table would make the best bomber pilot. What are you guys using it for?
